Hours of Performance
(PERFORMANCE TAKES PLACE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE STAGE)
PROJECT: PERFORMANCE ART I SILENCE I TIME I DEATH
BOOKING: TOURING I METAL SHOWS I EXHIBITIONS I MUSIC VIDEOS FOR BANDS
The Metal Statue stands for hours sometimes for an entire festival day. Dark, silent, present. The body is reduced to function: standing, breathing, enduring. What remains is concentration, pain management, and meditation under extreme conditions. People may pass by, observe briefly or remain for a long time. Noise and Silence exist at the same time. The presence itself is the work. Performance takes now place in close proximity to the stage (In Security Area, Near Stage Barrier).
Why Metal and Statue:
I grew up with Metal and it inspired me to create something in the Scene. This Performance teaches discipline and self-control. Only a few people have been able to see this figure in public but now it exists within the extreme metal scene, where isolation and darkness are understood. I created The Metal Statue to honor Metal and the Scene. Metal means Art. Metal means Freedom. Freedom of Expression.
For Safety Reasons: While the Metal Statue performance will run continuously throughout the event, I will take scheduled breaks to ensure both safety and endurance, stepping backstage as needed to recharge and maintain the highest level of performance. These breaks will be well-managed to minimize any disruption, with security staff overseeing the process to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all.
Adding Coordinated Break Scheduling: Performances are structured with balanced work–rest cycles (e.g., 30 minutes performing followed by 30 minutes rest; 60 minutes performing followed by 60 minutes rest).
This Schedule makes it possible to have Hours of Performance and ensures the Artist’s safety.
